PM Modi’s unique way of celebrating Diwali with soldiers

Right from the time he gained power back in 2014 to date in 2020, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proved to us that he has a heart of gold and a brain of business acumen.

On the marvelous occasion of Diwali, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Longewala ost at the Rajasthan border. Now you may wonder what is he doing there alone when he should stay at home safely amid the coronavirus pandemic and observe the festive season? But he has gone there to celebrate Diwali with the soldiers there.

Indian soldiers are the ones who sacrifice their personal lives majorly just to ensure that we all people of the country stay safe and lead secure lives. They are the ones who get hardly any time to spend with their family or create memorable moments. Understanding their true plight, Modi has been spending the festival of Diwali since he became the Prime Minister of India in 2014. Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief General MM Naravane, and Border Security Force (BSF) DG Rakesh Asthana also are being with PM Modi to grace the beautiful event.

Earlier today, PM Modi shared on social media his wishes to the entire country for the festival of Diwali. “Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali! May this festival further brightness and happiness. May everyone be prosperous and healthy.”

Just recently, PM Modi had also posted a video from his program Mann Ki Baat wherein he encouraged people to light a Diya as an honor to the soldiers of India who protect our nation without any fear. He had written, “This Diwali, let us also light a Diya as a #Salute2Soldiers who fearlessly protect our nation. Words can’t do justice to the sense of gratitude we have for our soldiers for their exemplary courage. We are also grateful to the families of those on the borders.”
