American actress Amber Laura Heard is all thrilled and delighted to play her role of Mera again in the second part of Aquaman. For the uninformed, Aquaman was a 2018 action and adventure Hollywood film that revolved around the story of a half-human and half-Atlantean Arthur who was born with the talent to communicate with marine beings. His aim was to reclaim the fabulous Trident of Atlan and keep the water world safe.

Amber who started her career by performing in a supporting role in a sports drama Friday Night Lights and also acting in other small roles in television and movies, has indeed come a long way in her career. When in a recent interview with a leading media house, Amber was asked if she has exited the franchise of Aquaman, she replied saying that she is extremely happy about the kind of love and admiration she has received from her fans for playing the role of Mera in Aquaman and is looking forward to work excitedly in the second part of the film.
Her views came at a time when her ex-husband and actor Johnny Depp lost a libel trial against The Sun newspaper of the UK. Johnny was asked to leave from the Fantastic Beasts franchise which is produced by Warner Bros. Even Aquaman 2 has been supported by the same production house.
Amber said that casting in movies doesn’t happen based on paid rumors and paid campaigns on social media and hence, it is because of the fans’ appreciation that Aquaman 2 will also happen. The film is set to begin shooting next year. As per reports, even a spinoff of Aquaman is being worked upon which will be more towards the horror category. Aquaman was directed by James Wan and featured Jason Momoa as lead Aquaman and Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Ludi Lin, Temuera Morrison, and Nicole Kidman in supporting roles.
