Many of the Bollywood celebs diagnosed with COVID 19 have thankfully recovered now. Bhumi Pednekar is also one of them. However, after recovering, Bhumi has gone on to don a new role, that of a COVID warrior. She is willing to led a helping hand to all those in need of medicines or any COVID-related assistance.
With Maharashtra reeling under the second wave of COVID-19 with a high number of casualties and Mumbai being hit very badly, this comes as good news for many.
Bhumi has asked people to reach out to her through DM on her Instagram account and she will share numbers and contact details of plasma donors, she will also enable the facilitation of medical supplies. She has also added a word of caution here saying that although she will be forwarding details from her database and messages that come to her some may be fake and not genuine. She has urged people who find out about certain numbers that are not genuine to alert her too so that she can strike it off from her database.
She has mentioned that the battle against Covid is a daunting task and this is her small initiative.
Bhumi and Vicky Kaushal were shooting for their upcoming film Mr. Lele when both were diagnosed with COVID positive but now both have recovered and tested negative.
Bhumi rose to fame through her films, Dum Laga kay Haisha, Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Shubh Mangal Savdhan, and others. Her deglamorized roles have won her a lot of applause and good reviews. In the 2015 romantic comedy-drama, Dum Laga Kay Haisha she played a character that was overweight. In the 2017 Toilet Ek Prem Katha opposite Akshay Kumar Bhumi played the role of a progressive girl!
