The Bollywood trade experts believe strongly that by the end of this year, the big screen movies will be back to normal. It is being predicted that even theatres will open up and there will be good viewership for big-screen movies.
Filmmakers are working behind the screens to conceptualize mythological dramas, biopics from the sports genre, and so on. There are talks of Adipurush by Om Raut, which is based on the Ramayana and has Prabhas in the lead. It also has Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in the star cast. The other mega mythological drama is Draupadi with Deepika Padukone in the lead.
Another version of Ramayana will see Deepika, Mahesh Babu, and Hrithik Roshan. Another piece of news coming in announces KY Vijayendra Prasad the writer of Baahubali fame writing a third version of the epic titled Sita. This is an unusual saga that will have the story unfold from Sita’s perspective. The industry grapevine has it that the tussle for the main role is between Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
Another interesting piece of information doing the rounds recently is that this film will be on a similar magnitude as Baahubali. The director of the film is Alaukik Desai. If Kareena is the final choice in the lead role then she and Ranveer will be working together for the first time. They were earlier cast in Ram Leela which did not work out. As for Alia Bhatt and Ranveer, they have shared screen space earlier together.
