June 14th marks the first death anniversary of Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. With his death under mysterious circumstances that had sparked a huge National and International outrage from his fans, friends, and family, the cause of his death still remains an unsolved mystery. His fans came out in large numbers on social media platforms, and fan clubs, to demand justice for the late actor.
Videos of people gathering outside the late actors’ residence and lighting candles have been coming in.
His sister Shweta Singh Kirti who was very close to him and who has been fighting for justice for him had earlier in June announced that she was off on a one-month break in the mountains for meditation. She had said that she would be without any internet access and off any telephonic contact. That was her way of paying tribute to her brother and remembering the good moments spent with him.
The drugs angle that had been uncovered after Sushant’s death had led to grueling questions rounds of his housemate and friend Pithani, Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, her brother, and even their arrest. Several members of the Bollywood industry were also implicated and questioned. These included actors, actresses, producers, directors, and many others.
The candles that were lighted near the photograph of the actor, some distance away from his residence also had a placard that read ‘Fair Justice for Sushant Singh Rajput.’
The investigation that was initiated and still underway involves several agencies like the Mumbai Police, the Enforcement Directorate, Narcotics Control Bureau, and Central Bureau of Investigation.
