The rumors that have been doing the rounds of Kartik Aryan having had differences with Karan Johar, Dharma Productions, and co-actor Jhanvi Kapoor have just been confirmed. Reliable industry sources have confirmed that Kartik Aaryan has indeed been told that he is no longer the lead actor or a part of the upcoming movie -Dostana 2.
Dostana 2 was announced in the year 2019. Due to the outbreak of the pandemic shooting for the film has been delayed considerably. The reasons for this decision were attributed to creative differences with Karan Johar, date problems, and differences with co-actor Jhanvi Kapoor. It is said that Kartik was keener on completing the shoot for Ram Madhvani’s “Dhamaka.” Kartik had initially created a lot of date and schedule problems and very recently even creative differences have surfaced. All these put together had annoyed Karan Johar considerably so much so that it led to Kartik being asked to leave the film.
The other side of the picture that has come to light is Kartik’s annoyance with Dharma for offering Yoddha to Shahid which was promptly refused by Shahid. The grouse here is that Kartik was upset that he was not even approached for that role. Adding fuel to the fire was Karan voicing his intentions of starting the shoot of Mr. Lele with Vicky Kaushal and Jhanvi Kapoor. As soon as Kartik heard about this he informed Karan’s production house that he only had free dates in April for the shoot of Dostana 2.
It is learned that things have soured between Karan and Kartik and they are not on talking terms. Dharma Productions has also decided never to work with Kartik Aryan. Dharma Productions and Karan Johar in particular have been instrumental in launching many film careers and artists.
The million-dollar question that arises now is who will step into the shoes of Kartik Aaryan in Dostana 2?
