Eid ul Adha will be on June 29 in Pakistan after the Zil Hajj moon is spotted. According to Monday’s announcement from the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, the Zil Hajj moon has been sighted in Pakistan, and the entire country will celebrate Eid ul Adha on June 29 (Thursday).
Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, presided over the meeting at which the decision was made.

The chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal committee reported hearing reports of moon sightings from several different cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and others.
There were also attendees from the Department of Meteorology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, SUPARCO, and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The Ruet-e-Hilal regional councils met in their separate urban centers.
Both Zil Hajj (tomorrow, June 20) and Eid ul Adha (Thursday, June 29) will be commemorated for the first time in the country this year.
The Moon’s conception was predicted for June 18 at 9:37 p.m., and its possible first appearance in the night sky was predicted for June 19.
After sighting the moon, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee makes the proclamation on the 29th of every Islamic month. The first day of Zil Hajj was observed yesterday (June 19) when the crescent moon was spotted in Saudi Arabia.
Tuesday, June 27 marks the Islamic holy day of Arafah, and Wednesday, June 28 marks the beginning of Eid al Adha celebrations across the kingdom.
