The affable actor who steals hearts through his winning smile – Ayushman Khurrana and wife Tahira has been so moved by the recent COVID -19 infected plight of Maharashtra that they have made a donation to the Maharashtra CM Relief fund.
They announced this on their social media handle – Twitter. The state of Maharashtra has been severely hit by the second wave of the COVID -19 and many deaths and casualties have been reported. The numbers are increasing day by day and the situation is looking very grim and bleak. The resources are limited and any help monetarily or otherwise is strongly appreciated. Celebrities are doing their bit. Bhumi Pednekar, Katrina Kaif, Twinkle Khanna, Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt, have all taken to their social media to offer support in terms of crucial information, where to donate verified links and other forms of support.
Salman had started food trucks to support the frontline warriors, during the last lockdown and is said to have resumed the service once again. Akshay Kumar had contributed to Gautam Gambhir’s foundation to raise help for those battling COVID in Delhi. The situation in Delhi is currently very grim too. Many states have imposed lockdowns and stricter measures to counteract the rise in COVID cases. Bollywood stars by dint of the huge adulation and fan following that they enjoy have used their social media accounts very judiciously to draw attention to information on COVID.
