Rarely would a TV series have created such mass hysteria worldwide and met with such a large dose of success as the iconic Friends. Fans were delirious with delight when it was announced that the show would be back on May 27th titles Friends: The Reunion, and would be available on OTT platforms, on HBO Max in the USA, and on ZEE5 in India.
The original star cast had Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt Le Blanc, and David Schwimmer. The entire star cast who had aged gracefully while some still looked the same went back to the original soundstage of the comedy show Stage 24 on Warner Brothers Studio in Burbank and participated in an unscripted real-life show. They traveled down memory lane talked about their experiences during the 10 years of shooting, whether and how they remain in touch etc. While it was telecast in its entirety everywhere, China’s broadcasting deleted many scenes.
China had prepared to stream the show in its country on platforms like Tencent Video, iQiyi, and Alibaba’s Youku.”
All the 3 platforms deleted about 6 minutes of footage that had guest appearances by Lady Gaga, BTS, Justin Bieber, and some LQBTQ fans, and some other scenes too.
In the Friends: The Reunion, Thomas Lennon, Christina Pickles, Tom Selleck, David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga, Elliott Gould, Kit Harington, Larry Hankin, Mindy Kaling, T, James Michael Tyler, Maggie Wheeler, Reese Witherspoon, and Malala Yousafza were seen in special guest appearances.
