Black Lives depend co-founder and “trained Marxist” Patrisse Cullors — who resigned from BLM amid controversy approximately her private wealth — says she has visited hate crime hoaxer and disgraced actor Jussie Smollett in prison, where she determined that he has been “sound asleep on a restraint bed,” which she knew as “unacceptable.” Cullors is now urging the public to name the jail and call for that Smollett to be freed.
“I’m in Chicago and became capable of seeing Jussie these days, and he’s strong, but what’s occurring inside is just — it’s just unacceptable,” Cullors stated in a current video. “Today is the first day that he’s going a good way to get a real mattress. He’s been napping on a restraint bed.”
“They’ve also filed for him to be launched — filed to the Appellate court docket,” the activist continued. “With any luck, we’ll study by means of this week, no later than Wednesday, if he’ll get out. And, certainly, we just want folks to maintain tagging ‘#FreeJussie,’ maintain posting.”
“We need folks to call the jail and test upon him, but also say which you suppose he needs to be freed,” Cullors introduced. “And the remaining aspect is, we want parents to challenge the incorrect information and disinformation around this situation. That’s so essential.”
Cullors went on to say that “What came about to Jussie could happen to many folks, and it’s absolutely unacceptable.”
In January 2019, Smollett had claimed he become bodily attacked by two guys sporting purple hats who positioned a rope around his neck, poured bleach on him, and shouted racial and homophobic slurs at him, earlier than finally yelling, “this is MAGA united states!” in connection with former President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan.
On Thursday, Judge James Linn sentenced Smollett to one hundred fifty days in prison, 30 months of probation, restitution of $120,106, and quality of $25,000. Smollett is also now a convicted felon.
While being hauled off to jail, the actor time and again shouted, “I am now not suicidal, and I’m harmless” with his fist raised.
On Saturday, Smollett’s brother Jacqui Smollett revealed that the actor has been placed in a psych ward on the cook dinner County prison.
