Casper a 20-month-old sheepdog repels and kills eight coyotes that attacked his flock. According to farmer John Wierwiller, a sheepdog in Georgia recuperates at home after killing a pack of coyotes that attacked his owner’s flock.

John Wierwiller claimed that Casper, a 20-month-old Great Pyrenees from Decatur, successfully repelled a pack of coyotes from his sheep farm. Wierwiller told Atlanta’s WAGA-TV that the fight, which lasted for more than 30 minutes, left eight coyotes dead, bloodied Casper, with skin and a portion of his tail torn off.

He fled, but two days later, after Wierwiller posted a request on social media, he returned hurt.

He appeared to be telling my boss, “Boss, stop looking at how bad I look; just take care of me,” according to Wierwiller.

Casper’s neck wound was able to be closed by emergency veterinarians, according to a Facebook post by Wierwiller.

The doctor wrote that it is much simpler to control infection when the wound is not as open, and if everything goes according to plan, he won’t require skin grafts in that area. “We are ecstatic about this news, which is truly remarkable.”

More than $15,000 has been raised by LifeLine Animal Project to cover the sheepdog’s medical expenses.

In rural and expanding suburban areas bordering wildlands across the United States, packs of coyotes attacking pets have become somewhat familiar, even though dogs rarely succeed like Casper.
