Micah Parsons of the Cowboys wonders if Jalen Hurts’ hype is due to him or the team. Right now, the Philadelphia Eagles are excelling. With a 12-1 record after last Sunday’s 48-22 thrashing of the New York Giants, they became the first NFL team this season to secure a postseason spot, and star quarterback Jalen Hurts gained momentum as the MVP front-runner, according to Caesars Sportsbook.
It would be an understatement to suggest that Hurts is having a career year. He has 12 victories, 30 or more total touchdowns, five or fewer turnovers, and ten passing touchdowns that have traveled at least 25 yards downfield, which is tied for second-most in a season since air yards were first introduced. He is also the first quarterback in NFL history to record double-digit rushing touchdowns in back-to-back seasons.

Hurts is playing well, but is that praise given to him too much? Dallas Cowboys pass rusher Micah Parsons asked aloud during an interview on The Vodcast with Buffalo Bills pass rusher Von Miller about the praise Hurts is receiving.
Is Hurts or the team at fault? Parsons questioned. I believe it’s a little bit of both, guy Miller said in response.
Parsons stated, “I’m not looking to make any enemies” (H/T SB Nation). “The game is just so much fun for me. And I understand it so well that I can’t contain my emotions when things aren’t right. I nearly have to speak up.”
As Parsons acknowledged, hurts is “excellent,” but he may have said enough to provide the QB with some discussion starters. The wide receivers, running backs, offensive line, and defense for the Eagles quarterback are all excellent, without question, but Hurts has also been outstanding. Currently holding the top wild card slot in the NFC, the 10-3 Cowboys play the Eagles on Christmas Eve in less than two weeks.
