Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Arrested | PTI Says Imran Is Badly Hurt. About the Al-Qadir Trust case, Imran Khan, the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, was detained on Tuesday afternoon at the Islamabad High Court (IHC). Khan’s party reported that the leader had been hurt while being arrested “violently” by Pakistani Rangers. In a tweet, the Vice President of the PTI, Fawad Chaudhry, made allegations that Khan had been kidnapped from the court premises and that dozens of lawyers and other people had been tortured.

In a subsequent tweet, he stated, “Unknown people have whisked away Imran Khan to an unknown location, and the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court has ordered the Secretary of the Interior and the Inspector General of the Police to appear in court within the next fifteen minutes.”
Outside of the facilities of the IHC, members of the Rangers, a law enforcement agency, took him into custody. According to witnesses, Khan was taken into custody and transported away in a black Vigo truck.
An attorney for the PTI, Faisal Chaudhry, verified the detention, which prompted the Chief Justice of the IHC, Aamer Farooq, to take quick action. Chief Justice Farooq issued an order requiring the chief of the Islamabad police force, the secretary of the interior ministry, and the additional attorney general to appear before the court within a short period.
On May 1, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in Rawalpindi issued an arrest warrant for Imran Khan, carried out by Rangers in Islamabad today.
The following is a tweet posted by a journalist in Pakistan named Hamid Mir: “Just a few moments before the arrest, Imran Khan was waiting for biometrics in Islamabad High Court.” Barrister Gohar Khan, his lawyer, informed me that Rangers detained Khan while they were processing his biometrics. Gohar asserted that Rangers brutally arrested Khan after pushing him and taking him into custody.
