His family including son Abhishek, Daughter in law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and granddaughter Aaradhya Bachchan had all tested positive for COVID and had been hospitalized too but had recovered completely. While the 12th season was being shot Amitabh and 3 of his close family members had tested positive for COVID-19.

The registrations for this started on May 1oth at 9 PM. On the 14th of May, the superstar had already floated the 5th question for the participating audience.
