Al Roker is set to return Today after being in the hospital. On Tuesday, Al Roker’s colleagues said that the popular weatherman would return to his regular broadcasting schedule shortly.
The three “Today” hosts were overjoyed to share the news that Roker would return to work this Friday: Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Craig Melvin.
“This morning, we have some excellent news to give,” Gutherie declared. This podcast will have Al back soon.

This coming Friday, he’ll be here. “He’ll be right here in Studio 1A,” Kotb affirmed. This is where he belongs. To put it simply, he’ll be seated where he belongs. I’m very excited about it.
Roker had been admitted to the hospital twice due to a blood clot that originated in his thigh and eventually reached his lungs.
Since early November, he has yet to hear from me on the air. He had to miss the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting due to his health scare.
Roker was moved to tears last month when the cast, crew, and staff of “The Today Show” gathered outside his New York City home to perform Christmas songs in support of him as he recovered from his accident.
“It’s been a long hard slog, and I’ve missed you all very much,” he told them.
