    Arteta provides Tierney fitness update

Arteta provides Tierney fitness update: Mikel Arteta has stated that Kieran Tierney is in “excellent shape” despite the fact that the defender was taken out of Friday’s friendly match in Germany during the first half of the match.

The knee injury forced the left-back to miss the latter part of the previous season, and he was only able to play for the first half of our victory over Nurnberg. After the game, Arteta admitted that it was part of the plan to ease the Scotland international back into action. At the time, the Gunners were already down 2-0, so it seemed like one problem after another at that moment. However, Arteta revealed that it was part of the strategy after the game.

The manager remarked, “He’s pretty good,” regarding the employee.

“He’s been putting in a lot of work in the gym. Given that he had been out for well over three months at this point, we felt it was important to provide him with a thorough warm-up, play the first half an hour of the game, and then remove him from the game.

Therefore, he was in healthy condition, and there are no problems with it.

If you click play on the video that is located above, you will be able to hear much more from the manager, including his opinions on the game and Gabriel Jesus’ goal-scoring debut.

Our comeback victory over 1. FC Nurnberg, in which we came back from a 2-0 half-time deficit to win 5-3, can be viewed in its entirety in the highlights package that is located above.

Gabriel Jesus scored twice on his first appearance for the Gunners after coming off the bench at halftime. Additionally, two own goals and a magnificent long-range attempt from Mohamed Elneny were sufficient to shift the tide of the game in favour of Mikel Arteta’s squad.

So that you don’t miss out on any of the action from this competition that goes all the way to the end, make sure you start the video right away by pressing the play button.

And if you want to relive each kick as if it were the first time, the entirety of the game can be viewed on Arsenal Player.
