Today marks 15 years of actor Kangana Ranaut in Bollywood. Her debut movie Gangster released on this day 15 years ago. She took to her twitter handle to make this announcement and also compared Shahrukh Khan’s success story and hers. She drew attention to the fact of how different they both were. He was convent educated, from Delhi and knew English, his parents were involved in films unlike hers. She was from a faraway village in Himachal Pradesh and did not know English at all then. She mentioned how every day was a struggle for her, with fights against her grandfather and father. She claims that although the two that is Shahrukh and she are totally different, their success stories are the biggest. She also went on to add in her tweet that till today she struggles every day, but it is worth it. She has thanked all her well-wishers for her journey so far.
In a throwback video that has surfaced recently, she has mentioned how late actor Irrfan Khan was reluctant to work with her when they were set to do a film together because he felt the two were like two razor-sharp daggers and could not work together. Kangana felt that the statement was a compliment to her and her personality. She also went on to add that certain actors tell her on her face that they are scared to work with her.
She had in a past interview also expressed her desire to have worked with Madhubala as much as she had wanted to work with late actor Irrfan Khan.
Kangana’s upcoming movie is Thalaivi which is based on the life of politician and film actress J. Jayalalitha the ex-CM of Tamil Nadu who served as the CM of Tamil Nadu 6 times. It is being shot in Telugu and Tamil languages also. It was slated for an April 23rd release earlier but has been postponed.
