COVID – 19 has been very unkind to the world and has nor spared the film Industry. With many testing positive for COVID-19, it has also claimed the lives of many from the industry. The latest to lose the battle of life due to COVID-19 complications is actress Abhilasha Patil. This talented actress was part of films like Chhichhore, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Good News, etc, and Marathi films like Tujha Manjha Arrange Marriage, Pipsi, Bayko Deta Ka Bayko, Te Ath Diwas, etc. Abhilasha’s age was the early 40’s.
She leaves behind a heartbroken son and husband. “Chhichhore’’ has lost two gems from its star cast the first being Sushant Singh Rajput (although not to COVID-19) and the second being Abhilasha. Actor Director Shashank Udapurkur who had worked with the late actress in Prawaas which was a Marathi film confirmed the news of her death on Wednesday. He also looked back on her film journey and said she was an actress to whom acting came naturally she was a born actress. She had a lot of passion and determination to succeed. She came from a non-filmi background and had to rely only on her hard work and passion with no support or backing from any godfather.
