With the country reeling under the spate of fresh COVID 19 infections, and Maharashtra topping the list, it’s no wonder then that Bollywood in Mumbai has had its share of infections.
Actors who tested positive are Vicky Kaushal, Mallika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Ali Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor and others.
The latest to get infected with the virus is Nagma . The actor conveyed the news through her social media account on twitter.
Had taken my 1st dose of Vaccine a few days ago tested for Covid-19 yest, my test has come ‘Positive’ so Quarantined myself at home. All Please take care and take al necessary precautions even after taking the 1st dose of Vaccine do not get complacent in anyway manner #staysafe !

Her social media post raised a flurry of good wishes and concerns for her amongst her friends, well wishers and fans. Soni Razdan whose own daughter Alia Bhatt has tested positive and is self-quarantining expressed her good wishes to Nagma for a speedy recovery. In her post on the microblogging site, Nagma mentioned how she had contracted the virus a few days after taking her first vaccine shot. She urged everyone to follow strict COVID Protocols and not let their guards down. She emphasised the importance of wearing masks. She urged people not to become complacent after the vaccine shots or even otherwise.
Katrina Kaif had been diagnosed positive after her rumoured boyfriend Vicky Kaushal had tested positive, Both the stars thanked their fans for the love and support showered on them and urged them to stay safe.
Katrina wrote: “I have tested positive for Covid-19. Have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I’m following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Requesting everyone who came in contact with me to get tested immediately too. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care,”
Just as Bollywood was limping back to normal with shoot schedules on – COVID 19 emerged as the big villain pushing everything back by several notches !
