8.9 million cases are of coronavirus disease i.e. Covid-19 in India. The data showed by the union health ministry says that the recent increase of 32% more cases of the disease is alarming. In the meantime, the Arvind Kejriwal-led government in Delhi declared that it was restricting the number of people permitted at weddings to 50 from 200.
Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia and health minister Satyendar Jain confirmed no further lockdown would be forced in the national capital. However, Jain said that there would certain curbs at the local level in particular areas just to ensure that the coronavirus situation in Delhi is under control.
On Thursday at 11 AM, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called all his party members for a meeting to discuss the coronavirus situation in the capital city. The move came after the capital of India has recorded more than 90,000 cases of coronavirus disease in the past two weeks, which has also led to the death of over 1,000 people.

Just some days back, the central government approved a 12-point plan to stop coronavirus in Delhi after a meeting between Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. After the meeting, Mr. Kejriwal said the central government will make arrangements for 750 hospital beds, including the facilities of Intensive Care Units for Covid patients in Delhi. He appreciated the central government for extending the number of beds in the city.
