The latest to join in by donating and amount of 2 crore to the COVID 19 care centre of the Delhi Gurdwara is superstar Amitabh Bachchan. He has in the past too, been associated with many philanthropic activities and his latest magnanimity will go a long way to help COVID 19 patients in need. He also used his resources to arrange oxygen concentrators for them. He made efforts to ensure that the concentrators being send form overseas reached in time. The spokesperson of the Akali Dal took to his social media account to inform the public about this noble gesture of the extremely generous Mr Bachchan.
The social media post of Manjinder Singh Sirsa who is the President Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and National spokesperson of the Akali Dal mentioned how concerned Amitabh Bachchan was regarding the shortage of oxygen supply in Delhi. He maintained a regular contact with Sirsa and told him not to worry about money but go about saving as many lives as possible. He also said that he had great respect for the Sikh community is “legendary” and their spirit of service should be saluted.
