Delhi Gurdwara COVID19 care centre receives financial support from Amitabh Bachchan

The ongoing devasting pandemic has seen the common man and celebrities both stepping in to join the battle against COVID 19 by supporting in either in their personal or professional capacity by helping raise fund or donating personally. 

Some of the top of the mind names that come are Sonu Sood, Priyanka and Nick Jonas, Anushka and Virat Kohli an many others. Those using their social media to create awareness are Katrina Kaif, Twinkle Khanna, Bhumi Pednekar, Malaika Arora and many others.

The latest to join in by donating and amount of 2 crore to the COVID 19 care centre of the Delhi Gurdwara is superstar Amitabh Bachchan. He has in the past too, been associated with many philanthropic activities and his latest magnanimity will go a long way to help COVID 19 patients in need. He also used his resources to arrange oxygen concentrators for them. He made efforts to ensure that the concentrators being send form overseas reached in time. The spokesperson of the Akali Dal took to his social media account to inform the public about this noble gesture of the extremely generous Mr Bachchan.

The social media post of Manjinder Singh Sirsa who is the President Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and National spokesperson of the Akali Dal mentioned how concerned Amitabh Bachchan was regarding the shortage of oxygen supply in Delhi. He maintained a regular contact with Sirsa and told him not to worry about money but go about saving as many lives as possible. He also said that he had great respect for the Sikh community is “legendary” and their spirit of service should be saluted.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa’s latest twitter post has pictures with the caption informing that the Inauguration “Ardas” had been done. This COVID 19 centre is the Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid Care facility located at Gurudwara Rakabganj Sahib Delhi.
