Amidst the lockdown on January 11th 2021, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma welcomed their first born. They named her Vamika. There was great curiosity amongst their fans to see glimpses of the new born, however pictures form dad Virat and mom Anushka were not forthcoming. They had also made specific requests to the media not to click pictures and to show respect for their privacy. During the lockdown the couple like everybody else has been spending a lot of time at home and Virat had on one occasion engaged with a question round with his fans. It was during this that one fan asked him the meaning of hid daughter’s name to which he replied that it was another name of goddess Durga. A fan asked him if they could get a glimpse of his cute daughter which he declined and enlightened all on the reason for not sharing pictures on social media. He said that his daughter was still too young and he wanted to leave the choice of understanding social media and deciding whether or not to be a part of it.
We have all been witness to the frenzy surrounding star kid Taimur Ali Khan son of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. We have seen the little boy being chased by the paparazzi. None of his moves were left unreported. Initially he was seen waving at the media personnel and responding with smiles. Off late he is seen scowling at them on certain instances and even raising his voice to say no . Any child’s mind is impressionable and they do not understand the implications of being on social media. It is probably this kind of harmful attention which does not respect the privacy of a star kid that has made Virat and Anushka take this decision in their daughter Vamika’s interest.
