This year EID will be a power packed much anticipated festival, since 3 big stars are planning the release of their films. It is a clash of Jr NTR’S 30th (yet to be named film) with top filmmaker Siva Koratala. If you are wondering how a film from the South can possibly contend with the popular films of Salman and Ajay Devgan made primarily for the North Indian audience let us remind you about his film Janata Garage.
The same actor director duo had worked magic with this massive hit. Mohanlal, superstar of the Malayalam film industry had shared screen space with Jr NTR. The original Telugu film was dubbed for the North Indian audience and was a massive hit. The indicative date of release for this film is 29th April 2022. Salman Khan has always followed the pattern of releasing his big films on Eid and this year too is no different.
The shooting of Tiger 3 is underway with plans of its’ release on Eid. Another top starrer film with Amitabh Bachchan, Rakulpreet Singh, and Ajay Devgan is MayDay due for release on 29th April 2021 too.
The box office collections initially will see a tussle between Ajay Devgan’s film and Salman Khan’s film with a clear demarcation of the South Indian audience for Jr NTR’s film. The astronomical success of Janata Garage in 2016 is a positive pointer towards the successful partnership of the Jr. NTR and Siva duo.
The expectations from Tiger 3 are very high and Salman Khan’s success and popularity is unquestioned going by the past records of his previous two Tiger releases.
Another Ajay Devgan starrer Maidaan is due for release on October 15th, 2021, and the response to this film will probably give us an indication of how his MayDay will be received by the audience.
