With the digital platform fast gaining popularity as the alternative to theatres, web series and videos are becoming increasingly important as a source of family entertainment or togetherness at home. The Family Man Season 1 had become popular and liked by the audiences. Those who were waiting eagerly for season 2 will now be glad to hear that that release date of Season 2 has been formed up as June 4th. In less than a month the viewers of this political drama series will be treated to brand new episodes. Actor Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni who is his co-star were spotted promoting the upcoming season 2. The trailer of Family Man season 2 will be released tomorrow i.e., May 19th, 2021. Earlier it was scheduled for a February release and that had been postponed.

This Hindi language action thriller on Amazon Prime video has been directed, created, and produced by Krishna D.K and Raj Nidimoru. The screenplay and story were co-written by Suman Kumar and Sumit Arora.  The very versatile and talented Manoj Bajpayee is the lead actor. He portrays the character of Srikant Tiwari a person with a middle-class background, who is engaged secretly as an intelligence officer for TASC (Threat Analysis and Surveillance Cell.) 

The series was announced in June 2018 and completed by May 2019 after having been shot in locales like Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi, Kochi and Mumbai. Shooting for the second season began in November 2019 and was completed by September 2020. The performances have received a positive response from the critics. It even went on to establish a record of the most viewed web series on the Amazon Prime video platform. Amazon had to encounter criticism when two of its very popular shows Tandav and Mirzapur were pulled up for hurting religious sentiments.
