The strained relationship between King Charles and his two grandchildren residing in the United States is a significant consequence of his dispute with his son, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle. King Charles’ key milestones in 2023 are omitted due to the rift with Prince Harry.
Prince Louis, 5, and Princess Archie, 4, do not have an intimate relationship with their paternal grandfather, unlike their cousins Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Harry, who they share with Meghan.

The monarch had previously declared Prince Harry and Meghan’s eviction from their Windsor residence, Frogmore Cottage, in February 2023. This exacerbated the animosity between Prince Harry and his father, ultimately resulting in an estrangement of the children from their royal lineage.
Royal commentator Michael Cole described the situation as “extremely unfortunate” because Charles spends so little time with Archie and Lilibet, even insinuating that he does not wish to see them.
Cole told GB News that when the King requested that Prince Harry and his wife leave Frogmore Cottage, Harry responded, “Doesn’t the King want to see his grandchildren?” “In actuality, he has no contact with his grandchildren.”
He further stated, “Since Princess Lilibet, he has rarely encountered Prince Archie, and it is doubtful he has seen him more than once.” The present condition is highly lamentable.”Consequently, the King was also deprived of significant events involving Archie and Lilibet.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have declined the invitation extended by the 7th Duke of Westminster, a close friend of Harry’s, Hugh Grosvenor. In addition to the monarch and queen Camilla, Prince William and Kate Middleton have been invited to this event.
Furthermore, the King apparently neglected a chance to convene with his descendants on an impartial platform.
