Netflix says sorry as Love Is Blind reunion episode is pushed back. After a technical issue caused a delay in the live stream of Netflix’s popular dating show, the streaming service apologized to users.
A rebroadcast of the Love Is Blind reunion will take place instead later on Monday, although it will be pre-recorded.
On social media, disappointed viewers of the show aired their annoyance at the plot, which centers on couples who get engaged before they meet each other.

It was not obvious what caused the delay from a technical standpoint, but the streaming giant expressed “extreme regret” for the inconvenience.

On Monday, the reunion special will be aired at 18:00 BST, equivalent to 13:00 ET.
Some viewers in the United States were still able to watch the program almost 75 minutes after the time it was initially planned to begin, but most viewers saw a screen that read, “There’s a problem with the live stream.”
As time passed, Netflix provided updates indicating further delays; finally, at 02:30 British Summer Time (GMT), 90 minutes after the event was scheduled to start, the streaming giant issued an apology and informed viewers that it would be taping the episode instead.
Netflix issued an apology via Twitter with the following statement: “To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, and gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not pan out as we had planned.”
“We are already filming it and will have it available on Netflix as soon as possible. Once more, I’m sorry, and I appreciate you.”
In a live video on Instagram, show host Vanessa Lachey said it was a technical mistake, but Netflix could not provide a reason for canceling the live stream. The caption for the live video read: “Apparently, we broke the internet.”
After successfully streaming a stand-up special by Chris Rock in March of this year, this was Netflix’s second try at bringing a live event to its audience. The first attempt was in April of last year.
The comic’s act aired relatively fault-free, with only a few users reporting problems via social media at the time; nevertheless, due to technical errors, the Love is Blind live stream did not begin for most people at any point.
Downdetector, a service that monitors websites, revealed that more than 10,000 people in the United States reported that the website was inaccessible while life took place.
Netflix shared a tweet from a member of Congress in the United States named Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who quipped that they needed a hero from an earlier program episode to help save it now. Furious fans rushed to social media to vent their dissatisfaction with the show.
It comes at a time when Netflix has indicated its aim to move towards more live programming, including a partnership to show the Screen Actors Guild Awards beginning in 2024.
Fans in the UK who elected to sleep over watch the live stream of the reunion found themselves in disarray when they awoke to discover that the episode was unavailable because of the decision to postpone the event.
Others pointed out that because of the delay in posting the episode online, spoilers were now being disseminated via social media, which prompted some individuals to label the wait as unacceptable.
Yet other people worldwide have gone so far as to say that they no longer desire to watch the program.
