With many of his friends and well-wishers hoping and praying for bail to be granted to popular TV actor Pearl V Puri, it was bad news for the actor with the refusal of bail. The next hearing is said to be on the 15th of June.
For the uninitiated, Pearl V Puri has been accused and arrested on charges of raping a minor on a film set in Vasai, in the year 2019. The charges levied against him have been under POCSO or the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences.
In a high voltage drama post his arrest his colleagues took to social media to say how he could not be guilty and how well they all knew him Anita Hassanandani, Karishma Tanna, Ekta Kapoor, Divya Kumar Khosla, were some of the strong voices that were heard. In fact, Karishma Tanna had put up a post saying how the truth will win and had also said that he was released on bail, which was later fact-checked to be untrue since he hadn’t been granted bail. Ekta Kapoor in her long social media post mentioned how she had had a long chat with the victim’s mother and was told that the father of the child had fabricated the entire story. He had built up this case to get even with the mother who was a working woman. The mother was an artist and working on the same set that day. He wanted to show the child’s mother in a poor light by showing how careless and irresponsible she was and could not take care of her daughter. This is the mother’s opinion was being done just to take custody of the child,
The next hearing is on the 15th, and it remains to be seen what the fate of the young actor will be.
