The pandemic has been harsh all work-wise. It hasn’t even spared Queen Kangana Ranaut. Kangana has revealed that due to lack of work last year she hasn’t filed half of her previous year’s tax. She quickly goes on to add that this is the first time that she has done this though.
This fearless actor has been very active on her social media accounts. She has been fearlessly talking about what she feels are the wrongdoings in the industry. Her Twitter account was suspended. It was permanently suspended owing to her violating several policies of the microblogging site. Her posts had sparked a lot of controversies and most of the people demanded taking strong action against her. Kangana retorted by saying she could use many other platforms where she could raise her voice and even though her art which was cinema. Kangana’s sister Rangoli Chandel had also been very active on Twitter and some of her posts too were labeled controversial sparking a lot of outrage. Her account too was suspended because of several violations of the microblogging site. Many users welcomed this move of suspending Kangana’s account as well as colleagues from Bollywood like Swara Bhaskar and Richa Chaddha. Her hate speech on Twitter led to fashion designers Rimzim Dadu and Anand Bhushan boycotting her in all their future projects.
Kangana shared with her fans that she was the highest tax-paying actress and also outlined her difficulties about why she could not pay in time. She mentioned that her tax slab was 45 percent of her income and she could not pay in time this year due to no work. She mentioned that the government was charging her interest on the pending tax money. However, she said she welcomed this move, and together everybody was stronger.
The recent times have not been Easy for Kangana. She had contacted COVID-19, her house in Mumbai had been broken down, she was and is being trolled on social media, etc.
