As learnt from industry sources the ongoing shooting of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming Pathan has been stalled. The reason was the very obvious one in the current times. A few crew members of the film had tested COVID 19 positive. Shah Rukh it is learnt has immediately quarantined himself. The other lead actors in the film are Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
There are several COVID related restrictions in place as far as shooting goes, but the alarming rate of increase in COVID 19 infections in Maharashtra including Mumbai, is making things very difficult for people.
The infected crew members have been isolated in Andheri East. SRK’s Pathan had completed a major part of its shooting stint in Dubai earlier. The current stint was part of the month-long shoot planned in Mumbai. All the crew members have now got themselves tested including technicians and are awaiting their reports.
The second wave of COVID 19 has proved to be very deadly and infectious. It has taken many TV Stars and Bollywood stars in its grip. The Bollywood actors who got infected include Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Akshay Kumar amongst others.
Pathan was being eagerly awaited by fans of the Badshah. His last release Zero in 2018’s did not do too well at the box office. Pathan is being directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra, under the Yash Raj banner.
Pathan will mark Deepika Padukone’s’ and Shah Rukh’s 4th collaboration. The current acting scenario of Deepika looks to be promising with good films on hand. She has Shakun Batra’s yet to be titled venture, The Intern and Pathan on the anvil. Shah Rukh and Deepika have together given three successful films so far, Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year.
