Servers crashed, the audience cheered and International markets and ZEE5 rocked as huge numbers took to watching the most awaited movie of their favorite bhai Salman Khan. The doubts of sceptics as to whether the film will fare well without a proper theatrical release in India were all put to rest with the film’s stupendous success. Salman’s “ek baar commitment kar di to kar di “saw the film sticking to its scheduled date of release during Eid-Ul-Fitr, dispelling doubts of any postponement. International markets saw a theatrical release and Radhe-Your Most Wanted Bhai was a first of its kind with release across multiple platforms. It was a first-of-its-kind release that was hybrid.

Fans and followers of Salman Khan were keen to watch it as soon as it released irrespective of where it was released, digital or in the theatre.

For filmmakers, the success of the film reveals an important point that the future of filmmaking is digital and the world is fast progressing towards it. The pandemic has demonstrated this aptly. The business model has changed with a fresh new dimension added to it.

Overseas the film has done very well and box office collections of 65 lakhs have been reported from Australia and New Zealand.

The film is centered around the drug mafia with Randeep Hooda playing the bad guy and Salman an undercover cop.  The film talks about the bad effects of drug abuse. Even after the censor board had passed the movie, Salman and his team impose self-regulatory cuts which were nearly 21 in number.  Salman and his team felt that the audience of the movie would be primarily families at their homes and certain scenes would not go down too well so they imposed the cuts on their own as part of their responsibility.
