His innovative caption of “Covid -positive, mood and spirit – super positive” tugged at the heart strings of all his fans and well wishers especially when he reiterated that he was there for all the needy and now had more time for them. Good wishes poured on his Instagram account with an 8.9 million followers base. He mentioned that he had self-quarantined himself and was taking all the necessary COVID protocol measures for safety for himself and others. He shared the message in Hindi as well.
The anti COVID 19 programme in Punjab had appointed Sonu Sood as its brand ambassador. Visuals of Sonu Sood helping and going out of his way to take care of the migrant workers especially waving to a bus full of migrant workers had taken the internet by storm. Love and reverence for Sonu shot sky high for his benevolent acts. His fans flooded the internet lauding him as a super hero. In one of his interviews during the lockdown migrant crisis Sonu had mentioned that they were the heartbeat of the country and just sitting and tweeting about them from your air-conditioned rooms was of no help. One had to go down and be with them, he said he would be doing whatever best he could do to alleviate their suffering and misery and he lived up to that promise.
