With Bollywood and other celebrities doing their bit to help the country and its citizens during the COVID crisis, power couple Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have initiated a fundraiser with Ketto which has reached the 3.6 cr mark and is collecting more funds and growing. In their post on social media, both of them have urged people to help in this initiative by donating. In their recorded video message on their Instagram post, they have said how it pains them to see their country- India and its citizens suffer.
The couple together has donated 2 crores. They have mentioned that all the people are in this together and one must help each other. They also reiterate the importance of wearing masks and staying indoors and being safe. The link in their bio directs you to the fundraiser and its details. Virat mentioned in his post that the 3.6 crore mark was reached in less than 24 hours and he was overwhelmed and happy and urged people to continue supporting. They sent out positive messages boosting the morale of people by saying that everybody was in this together.

Earlier this month Anushka had posted on her social media, that she would not be celebrating her birthday amidst the COVID crisis and asked everybody to stay safe and healthy. Bollywood celebrities like Bhumi Pednekar, Katrina Kaif, Twinkle Khanna, Malaika Arora have all been using their social media accounts to spread awareness about the availability of COVID-related resources. Far away from India, celebrity couple Priyanka and Nick Jonas too have initiated a fundraiser for India and had collected approximately 6.5 crores which were growing.
Right from the common man to celebrities this pandemic has brought out large reserves of magnanimity with people working together for the common good of mankind.
