    We have always been told that a pregnant mother should have a rich and wholesome diet. This diet should be nutritional with the right amount of proteins, calcium, vitamins, and other nutrients. This is especially important for the life growing inside her. A babies’ growth and development inside the mother’s womb depends on the food intake of the mother, apart from the positive mindset that she carries during that period.

    The mothers need to take extra care of their health as it is not only theirs but if another life that they can impact. The food and drinks need to be carefully monitored to ensure a good intake of fluids in the body. Green leafy vegetables, fresh juices, and plenty of water for good hydration are needed. Eating a little more than you would normally eat, is recommended. It is also recommended that you eat dairy products and consume milk. Cereals, whole grains, pulses should also feature in your diet since they are a good source of protein.

    For those who are vegetarian, you can go for the option of nuts, and daal or pulses. The non-vegetarians can have their regular meat, eggs, chicken, or fish as these are good sources of iron, vitamins, and proteins. A quick recap of a healthy diet would be Iron from green leafy vegetables, jaggery, nuts, meat, etc, Calcium from milk and milk products, soy products, etc, proteins from milk, milk products, paneer, meat, soybeans, etc Fats from butter, ghee, oils, nuts, etc.

    Seasonal fruits and vegetables are also highly recommended.

    It is to be remembered that a healthy diet is only one essential part of the development of the child ion the womb which the mother to be has to keep in mind the other essential part is to mentally stress-free and positive and happy because that also permeates to the child in the womb. A healthy and positive mindset coupled with a good diet will work wonders for a  child while inside the mother’s womb!
