In a swift turn of events following the surprise NCB raid aboard the luxury cruise liner Cordelia, Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested. His arrest came along with seven others in connection with the seizure of banned drugs onboard. The raid was carried out on the ship off the Mumbai coast.
Details of the raid as per the NCB arrest memo revealed 5 gms of MD, 21 grams of charas, 13 grams of cocaine, 22 pills of Ecstasy and 1.33 lakh cash was seized after the raid.
Sources reveal that Aryan Khan broke down during the questioning and his body language and nervousness was a giveaway. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have tightened the questioning. The NCB team under the leadership of Zonal Director, Sameer Wankhede had conducted the well-guarded raid following a tip off on a party being hosted onboard. The modus operendi of the raid was that undercover officers entered the ship from South Mumbai where the green gate is located, and other team members were stationed on shore. The team had already started observing the invitees who were boarding and were keenly studying their body language.
Arbaz Merchant who was accompanying Aryan and is a close friend of his was found in possession of drugs that were hidden in his shoes. This led to the arrest of 8 people including Aryan Khan. It is rumoured that Aryan is a habitual drug user and has been consuming drugs when he was overseas as well.
The cruise company on the other hand has washed its hands of any involvement and says they have noting to do with the drug racket. Jurgen Bailom, who is the Chief Executive Officer and President, Waterways Leisure Tourism Pvt Ltd has said that they are not involved in this and do not know anything about the drugs onboard. The NCB recovered drugs from those arrested from their shoes, undergarments, clothes and purses of the ladies involved.
